"Some years ago, I would look for the best deals, 3 packs on sale. However, not only did they wear quickly, they were uncomfortable in just a short time. Then I saw Darn Tough in a store, and while they were priced more than others, they felt like they were going to be very comfortable. Well, they were and still are very comfortable years later.
