Great durable socks. I use

"Great durable socks. I use these every work day with work boots. These socks are warm, breathable, and provide calf support."

Aaron G. (5/5)

They really are darn tough!

"I am on my feet all day in construction, at the Firehouse, and outdoors. I’ve always bought quality wool socks, but they never last. These socks do. They don’t wear out in the heals and toes like other socks, they fit well and the they don’t slide down. I love the over the calf socks for wearing in rubber boots, or waiters."

Ryan C. (5/5)

Runs big

"I have 2 other pairs of Darn Tough socks in Men's Large and they fit just fine. These have a very long foot and the heel runs up my ankle. I wear size 10. 5 US Men's shoe. Despite that, these are excellent quality winter hiking socks."

Travis J. (4/5)

Montana mountains.

"I’ve been building a new cabin in Glacier Park Mountains in Montana. Very tough environment very cold. Lots of snow . Hard to live and work here. These are the best sock I have ever worn . I will only buy Darn Tough Socks from now own. Ive had to use there warranty process, no question, they replaced the immediately."

Great Socks

"I wear these socks for work 4 days a week all year round in Nebraska. My feet stay warm in The winter and don’t get hot in the summer. Great cushion and they always stay up over your calf. Made in the USA with a lifetime warranty! Worth the price for sure."

Ryan S. (5/5)

If I’ve got boots on…

"If I’ve got boots on, I have got these socks on!!! Whether it’s work or hunting they get the job done. 100 degree heat in the summer and -10 degree winter, this is the go-to for my feet. I’ve tried other “well known” brands, which now belong to others. Only the best darn socks for me and my family!"

Angela l. (5/5)

Fit like a globe

"The socks fit like a glove. I needed an over the calf pair to help me with my varicose veins while I go hiking the local mountains. Darn Tough socks durability is has been the main reason I like them."

Favorite cold weather sock

"I have loved Darn Tough socks since my first pair in 2013. They are the best, and this is the warmest one I've ever owned. I've used these for cold weather hikes and do not have a single negative thing to say. They are exactly what I want in the cold. Over-the-calf just adds so much more warmth."

Q&A

What is the difference between the heavy weight mountaineering and the heavy weight hunting sock? My scout needs them for overnight winter camping. They'll be spending may hours standing around in freeze conditions but also going show shoeing. Thank you, Jessica
Hi Jessica, our Hunter OTC features a slightly higher merino wool content (79%) designed to provide maximum warmth during long periods of idle activity while hunting. In comparison, our Mountaineering styles feature slightly less wool (73%) and more nylon with the goal of providing more flexibility for movement.
